We are all very excited about this year event - it’s going to have more diversity Spoken Word and Lectures, a Caribbean Carnival Procession on Sunday, Bigger Campsite, Fair Trade Village, Food from around the globe, Woodland Walks, Kids Petting Zoo,  plus lots lots more.

Environment Policy:

100% compost toilets - This years event again will be 100% compost toilets -  good for our customers and for the environment!
Recycling -  2009 we managed to recycle around 65% waste - our goal is 80%
Campsite Solar Showers -  ultra low-carbon solar powered showers


One Love Records - Our first release by Future Dub is now live - feat Ruben Da Silva produced by Dialect and Lowki - only 89p. Album release later this month. 

 

One Love Festival - Background

One Love Peace concert 1978

Bob Marley and The Wailers performed at the One Love Peace concert in Kingston's National Arena with other main line reggae artists of the day, in an attempt to link Jamaica's feuding political parties. Against all the odds Bob Marley symbolically joined the hands of bitter rivals Michael Manley and Edward Seaga on stage and united them in handshake accompanied by a flash of lighting and clap of thunder from the heavens. Following the concert the opposing factions having seen that their leaders weren't hell bent on killing each other cooled down the conflict and eased the erupting civil war.
