Good King Steady (GKS) fuse elements of dub reggae, hip-hop, jazz and afrobeat, creating a unique sound that stands strong in the Manchester music scene. Drawing on a range of influences from artists such as Immortal Technique and Pluto Shervington, the band’s tunes have a raw energy that never fails to get the crowd amped.

Much of GKS’s success comes from the work they do in collaboration with Manchester’s local charitiable organizations. Their energetic live performances are often the centerpiece at events run by organizations such as The Gaskell Garden Project, Milennial and The Manchester Refugee Rights Collective, who help tackle issues such as homelessness, unethical deportation, and refugees struggling to claim asylum in the UK.

Good King Steady plan on releasing great music long into the future, and hitting the UK’s festivals hard this summer.
