King Solomon Band began as a song-writing project by Kingsley Salmon in 2010 with an aim to produce original UK reggae music. Massive influence from Jamaican and British reggae artists have contributed to this new sound. Artists like Gregory Isaacs, Alborosie, Alton Ellis, Black Roots, The Skints, Restriction and even a little bit of early UB40.

Until late 2012 this act remained purely as sheet music and lyrics that were just waiting to be heard, so out of many musicians playing around Gloucestershire the live band were formed

2013 saw a very good take off with several shows in and around England and Wales. At festivals / live music venues / bars & charity events.

August they worked with Troy Ellis Son of the King Of Rocksteady Alton Ellis Od. At a charity event in Cheltenham. Which led to them being invited to play at a tribute show in Bristol’s Malcom X centre in October to mark the life of the late Alton Ellis Od.

Then at Gloucester Guildhall November 29th 2013 King Solomon took to the stage in support for 1 of Reggae music Legendary Dj’s – Dj Derek last gig in area before retirement on 31st Dec 2013 whereby Troy Ellis came in and made a guest appearance with the band to a full house.

King Solomon Band are finally stepping on to the stage with a fresh take on an classic music. Described as chilled out, intense, downbeat, regal reggae that will get you dancing.
