The Underclass Ft Neville Staple

From the early days with The Coventry Automatics, The Specials, & FunBoy3 in the late ‘70s and 80’s, to The Special Beat and various other collaborations during his solo career from the 90’s up to the present day.

Following on from the 2009 Specials reunion and his departure from the band in late 2012, he continues to be a forerunner of the ska movement, and continues to thrill audiences with his own excellent band at venues and festival appearances worldwide.

2013 saw the return of Neville Staple, ‘The Original Rudeboy’ withextensive touring of the UK including many festivals.

Expect to hear some of Neville’s own material, some arrangements of his very favourite old school Ska numbers, as well as some classic hits in the mix.

Nevile’s autobiography, THE ORIGINAL RUDE BOY, was published by Aurum Press in the UK in May 2009.

The Underclass are an original and dynamic band, from the suburbs of Birmingham. Playing a sweet fusion of Indie/Ska/Reggae, their music reaches out to everyone. Formedin late 2011 and having played every major venue in Birmingham, to great reviews and audience feedback, the band are now looking to take their music to the next level. Having worked with such Ska legends as ‘The Beat’, ‘Neville Staple’ and ‘The Selector’, to name but a few, the band have cut their teeth and honed their sound todeliveran excellent live show. Gigs are currently being negotiated outside Birmingham, so check back for gig dates and venues, as their shows tend to sell out pretty quickly, and you won’t want to kick yourself for missing this exciting and powerful up and coming band… .
