We are Pillars Of Dub. A Brighton based, Roots Reggae Dub producer trio of father, son & saxophonist. We craft pure and heavyweight Dub music with real instruments and digital effects, under the influence of the 70s masters.
The Pillars Of Dub Debut Album was honoured with a launch party where we played alongside Bristol’s Laid Blak, to a sold out and rammed Blind Tiger Club in Brighton, on October 11th 2012.
We’ve since hit stages hard with our Dub across Brighton & London, supporting the likes of Prince Fatty, David Katz, OnlyJoe, Unity Hi-Fi, One Roots and more.
Witness exclusive, live improvised Dub mixes of originals from our Debut Album, live remixes of new gems and hidden treasures from Brighton’s Reggae culture, and a handful of classic dubs from the 70s & 80s with live lead guitar, saxophone and guest vocals all subjected to Dub trickery. Our Live Dub Show can be anything from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes.
– Our track ‘Journeys Of Uncle Dub’ reached Number 1 on the Joe Strummer Foundation For New Music: Strummerville Top 20 Downloads Chart on
September the 3rd 2012.
– We’re currently producing our second album of originals with a full live band, along with a couple of remix EPs to be released before the end of the year.
Pillars Of Dub are made by:

“Brighton based duo release debut album.”

“Pillars Of Dub are a Brighton based father and son duo of Gabriel and Pete Swinton who in the autumn of last year released their debut, 7-track, self-titled, album with G-Sharp Creative Records.
They play all their own instruments and with the help of digital effects produce Roots Reggae Dub in a pure, sparse and heavyweight style akin to that of the 70s masters with just one of the cuts “Echoes In My Soul” featuring vocals from Marlon.
