Formed in a Keighley basement between singer Joe Chapman and guitarist/Dub producer Warren Houchen, it all started as a simple jam session. Soon after sticking a few tunes online the word was out and quickly ‘Stig of the Dub’ was formed. All hailing from the rolling hills of Yorkshire; Nathan Gunning (Vocalist), Ben Burnside (Drums), Tom Charters (Guitar), Jake Marshall (Bass Guitar) Fred Pearson (Saxo10264307_1655753238018011_109414221698877903_n phone) and finally Dan Attwood (Percussion) all bringing knowledge and experience from diverse musical backgrounds and drawing influence from a wide variety of genres to help create a truly unique reggae sound.

Storming the festival scene in summer 2015 performing at places such as Eden Festival and Solfest along with many other festivals in the north of England and Scotland. Stig of the Dub aim to multiply their festival presence this year as the year progresses.


In 2015 they Headlined Pod 1 at the Bradford Urban Music Festival, performed at Mood Swings New year’s eve Steamfunk Armageddon, and worked closely alongside various Sound systems at events around Yorkshire and northern areas. They are currently in the process of organizing a small tour before summer, down in the south of England dates TBC. They fuse classic Reggae with Dub, Dancehall, Jungle, Latino and Ska, into their own unique musical hybrid style, often collaborating with other acts and individual musicians in a collective to create a diverse and eclectic dub sound. described as “one of favorites in the Vishnu Lounge” at Eden Festival. Stig of the Dub are looking to spread the sound waves across the United Kingdom and become a household name. Through all the incredible times they’ve had across the country in 2015, their determination for 2016 will take them even further into Scotland and the southernmost regions of England and wales. Touring and spreading their name and reputation further afield, possibly even some overseas Performances. They also aim to have an E.P Recorded and out for digital release later this year.
