Petty Thieves are a 6 piece sleazy Reggae/Ska band from the dirty suburbs of Medway, Kent.
With music influenced by different styles and genres with a backbone of Reggae & Ska and a little bit of anything that fits!
Having released their forthcoming EP ‘Better Things’ along with their first single ‘Take Your Time (Don’t Rush)’ in early February 2017, The Petty Thieves are playing shows all over the UK promoting their release and building up to a busy year.
In late march 2017 work on the next release begins. Over the summer The Petty Thieves shall be playing all over the country as well as hitting the festival circuit.
They first started writing material as a band in April 2015 when Sam (Vocals/Guitar), Jac (Bass) and Callum (Guitar) who had previously been jamming, creating song ideas were joined by Nato (Drums). From there they started writing the basis of what became ‘Better Things’. In early 2016 Steve joined after being pestered by the band to join as second vocalist…He finally caved. In April 2016 the band started playing shows while on the hunt for new members.
Just in time for sum mer saw the addition to Chris (Alto Sax) and Dillon (Tenor Sax) as they were branching out of their home town playing in different towns and cities in the UK along with being in the studio recording their EP.
Late 2016 saw the departure of Callum as he went on his travels around the world, But he will be back.
In early 2017 ‘Better Things’ was released while getting straight back the studio to work on their next creation.
With the rest of the year The Petty Thieves have an increasingly busy calendar with shows popping up at venues and festivals over the summer time.
